Ner Tamid’s Sam S Bloom Learning Center is seeking new educators for our religious school community.
Our mission is primarily to create positive Jewish experiences for our students, along with giving them the Hebrew decoding skills that they need to actively engage with text and tfilla. We strive to encourage independent and critical thinking, lifelong learning, self-awareness, and compassion.

Our program is highly experiential, with an emphasis on camp-style informal programming, so experience as a camp counselor is preferred. We want to minimize frontal teaching, and will provide you with the training and resources to write and implement experiential lessons.
Teachers must be willing and able to attend orientation and staff development seminars, regular teacher meetings, coordinate and implement lessons and curriculum with other grade level teachers and prepare lesson plans in advance in consultation with the Director of the Learning Center.
All teachers are expected to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of class, clean-up and hand in all necessary paperwork at the end of class, and attend one family Shabbat service with their class during the year. We have positions available in 6/7 Class, as well as a need for substitute teachers. All candidates must be available for staff orientation on August 14, 15, 16 and 18, as well as a group interview on 8/13. They meet Sundays 9am-12pm and Wednesdays 4:15pm-6:15pm.
